Once you officially book and sign your contract, I will provide you with a personalized styling guide to help coordinate outfits for each specific session type.

I’m also always available to consult on outfit options to ensure everyone feels their best.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

I take a consultative approach when selecting locations. When you submit your inquiry, please include what style or vibe you envision for your session. This can be very broad (beach, field, nautical/coastal, wooded) or as specific as you’d like.

Outdoor locations during golden hours (sunset or sunrise) provide beautiful natural backdrops, while in-home sessions offer a cozy, intimate feel. Together, we’ll choose a setting that perfectly complements your family’s story.

If you prefer a studio session, this is totally possible, but does cost an additional fee for the studio rental. I have a few that I work with & can provide those options for you to decide between.

what location should i choose?

I am located in the South Shore of MA. Locations must be within 45 minutes of Hanover to avoid an additional travel fee.

For areas beyond that, I’m happy to discuss options and any related fees.

DO YOU TRAVEL?

After you submit your inquiry, I’ll reach out to finalize the details and compile the correct documentation for your session.

To secure your session, you’ll need to sign the contract within 48 hours of receipt and pay a 50% retainer fee.

WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BOOK?

Yes! While milestone sessions primarily focus on celebrating and documenting an individual or a specific occasion, my favorite part of family photography is family & connection. I always encourage parents, siblings, or partners to join in the fun. 

As listed in the package descriptions above for particular types of milestones, I do offer different package types if you are looking for a "lighter" version of my standard packages which are limited to individuals or just couples.

CAN WE INCLUDE FAMILY IN THE SESSION?

Props can add a personal touch to your session, whether it’s a cake for a smash session, balloons for a birthday, or sentimental items like ultrasound photos for a pregnancy announcement. 

For birthday milestone sessions, I provide select props like cake stands, "O-N-E" letters, and a chair or stool, but clients should bring the cake and any additional items they’d like included. I’m happy to offer guidance on sourcing cakes or props to bring your vision to life! 

Outfit changes are welcome if time allows — I have a pop-up tent that I bring along to make this easier for clients, since many locations don't have changing rooms or restrooms on-site. If you are planning on an outfit change, just let me know in advance so we can plan accordingly!

What props or outfit changes can we include?

Kids can be unpredictable, and that’s completely okay! I take a patient, playful approach to milestone sessions, allowing time for breaks and natural interactions. If your child needs a moment to warm up, we’ll go at their pace to ensure we capture their personality in a genuine way.

What happens if my child isn’t in the mood for photos?

If bad weather is in the forecast, we’ll discuss options ahead of time. We can either reschedule or move to an indoor location if needed. I always keep an eye on conditions and will be in touch as your session approaches.

What if the weather is bad for my outdoor session?

I offer mini sessions a few times throughout the year, namely late spring/early summer and fall. These sessions can absolutely be booked and used as a milestone session whether for an engagement, birthday or baby announcement. 

If interested in using for a first birthday cake smash, please note this to me in advance or in your booking questionnaire, as logistics & timing may be tight depending on the mini session location and setup.
